By way of introduction

I believe my role is to embody the best, toughest teacher or coach you’ve ever had—the one who recognizes your potential, encourages you to stretch beyond your comfort zone, and supports you every step of the way. My practice as a certified Co-Active coach is rooted in purpose, compassionate curiosity, and a playful competitive spirit. I believe true growth happens at the intersection of unwavering support and a challenge to be your best.

I grew up in a family deeply rooted in service and justice. My mother was an early childhood educator who ran a daycare from our home. My father headed the juvenile probation department, fiercely committed to reforming the system. My siblings and I were taught to be helpful, independent, and responsible—to live by the motto, “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem,” and to use our friendly ways to find solutions that benefit everyone.

A middle school scholarship set me on a path to Princeton University, where I majored in Politics.  Never one to settle for doing one thing at a time, I also played D1 field hockey, worked two jobs, and coached high school lacrosse.  After graduating from Princeton, a teaching fellowship sparked my interest in Corporate Social Responsibility and what is now called “collective impact.” After writing my master’s thesis on the subject, I channeled my skills and passion into the social impact sector.

My twenty five year professional journey spans executive leadership, fundraising, strategic consulting, philanthropic advising, and program development. I’ve launched two companies, raised over $130M to support nonprofit organizations across the Bay Area, East Africa, and beyond, with a focus on education, youth development, the environment, the arts, juvenile justice, and LGBTQIA+ initiatives. Two decades of board service—as President, serving on Executive, Governance, Recruitment, Membership, Mentorship, and Advancement committees—further honed my leadership and listening skills, continually sparked my learning, deepened my awareness and humility.

As a captain of every team I’ve been a part of, I revel in supporting individuals, families, and teams to create and implement plans that align with their values, passion, and joy. After a milestone birthday and burnout ‘inspired’ sabbatical, I decided to focus on coaching full time—not just as an element of my work, but as the heart of it. While intimately familiar with the language and pace of achievement, I also know the cost of chasing goals that have lost their soul.

As a coach, I believe humankind, our environment, and all living beings are interconnected. Doing this work, helping to 'fan the flames' of our individual passions/purpose, has a collective impact and helps to shift the energy for us all.
